This course covers the requirements for operating a crane mounted to a vehicle for loading and unloading the vehicle. Successfully completing this course will allow you to operate any vehicle loading crane (such as Hiab’s and Palfinger’s) which have a lifting capacity of 10 metre tonnes or more.
NOTE: Course price is based on Crane Truck provided for course. Further fees will be applied if HST need to provide a crane.
By undertaking this course, participants will gain the skills and knowledge required to obtain a National statement of attainment and ID card.
Participants will receive training in the following skills and knowledge areas;
- Planning work
- Whistles and hand signals
- Hazard identification
- Crane set up and transferring loads
- Reading load charts
- Shutting down and securing the crane
